Homemade Southern Pound Cakes

Cakes Made With Love

From our kitchen in Northwest Georgia to your table, each cake is baked to bring warmth, sweetness, and a little bit of home to every gathering.

A Family Tradition

Where It All Began

Miss Pound Cake began baking pound cakes as a child alongside her Granny Thompson in their farmhouse in southeast Alabama. In those days, pound cakes were a simple Depression-era way to bring a little sweetness into the home. It was a Southern thing.

After retiring, Robbie Striplin, together with her husband Pete, turned that lifelong tradition into Miss Pound Cake. With years of experience and a whole lot of love, she set out to share those sweet Southern roots with friends in the Cartersville area, bringing a taste of homemade goodness from her kitchen to yours.

Today, the small business has grown into Miss Pound Cake of Northwest Georgia. Robbie still uses fresh ingredients while adding new recipes, flavors, and sizes along the way. But no matter how much it grows, each cake is made the old-fashioned way in her home kitchen with the same care, love, and tradition she learned baking beside her Granny all those years ago.

"Feeding a large family at Easter is no joke. This platter stole the show! The presentation was gorgeous with the edible grass and candy eggs were such a pretty touch. But lets talk about the cake itself ... mmm super moist, and the glze was absolute perfection. Will definitely be ordering again!"
